Auckland switchboard upgrades
Is your switchboard due for an upgrade?
Upgrading your switchboard is one of the best ways to safeguard against electrical danger and hazards.
Any switchboard that is older than the year 2000 could be due for a replacement.
If your home is constantly experiencing power outages, it could be that your switchboard is outdated.
Eve Street Electrical can help with any switchboard repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
If you are unsure whether your switchboard is safe and compliant, we can come to assess it and give you an obligation-free quote.

Why is it important to upgrade your switchboard?
Older style fuse boxes with rewirable fuses made of porcelain are no longer up to Aotearoa’s building code. Rewireable fuses take considerably longer to recognise power overloading which could lead to heat damage in your property’s internal wiring posing a serious fire risk.
Modern switchboards are compliant with current regulations. They are wired with circuit breakers and residual current devices (RCDs) that provide additional protection against electrical shocks and fire.
If there is a fault, such as a short circuit, modern switchboard components trip quicker than older types. This means that power to faulty wiring is swiftly isolated.
A newer, more energy-efficient switchboard can also help lower monthly expenses.
